Resident: A person residing in an Adult Foster Home.
ADL: Activities of Daily Living are care activities such as dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, meal preparation, medication management and mobility.
Assessment: A determination of a Resident’s ability to perform Activities of Daily Living, including medical history, current medications and behavior interventions.
Class I: Means an AFH may only care for residents who require assistance with not more than 4 ADLs.
Class II: Means an AFH may care for residents who require assistance in all ADLs, but are dependent in no more than 3 ADLs.
Class III: Means an AFH may care for residents who are dependent in all ADLs. This provider may also care for residents on Hospice.
